Hand-held CB.

Hand-held equipment can be extremely useful when on foot, maybe on walks. Unfortunately, this portability comes at the expense of poor range, limited power source and cost in batteries. However, many hand-held CBs can be plugged into external power supplies and antennas - making them as good as a base CB when used that way.

Before you start, you should have:
 - CB radio.


If you intend to also use the hand-held CB while at home, you will find the following will improve range and usability:  - Antenna.
 - Coax.
 - Wall mounts.
 - SWR meter.
 - Power Supply.
